Here are some of my favorite songs of 2016.
This is the auto-generated list of songs that I’ve listened to most in 2016 on Spotify. Some of the songs aren’t from 2016, some of the songs were listened to on repeat for a burst, some late year songs just didn’t catch up, and there are some songs that aren’t on Spotify that would make the list. But taking those considerations into account, this playlist is a fairly good encapsulation of the year in listening.
My favorite song of the year is probably My Girl and Me in ’93. Hearing it close out a set at Red Rocks with lightening in the background was incredible. Sturgill Simpson’s cover of In Bloom and Bear’s Den’s Roses on the Breeze deserve highlighting as well.
